The EURES-T Danubius cross-border partnership organized a seminar for labour market partner organizations and cross-border partnerships involving employers, EU cross-border organization representatives, labour offices, regional development agencies, and organizations focusing on support of small and medium-sized enterprises in the partnership region in Visegrad, Hungary on June 25-26, 2008. The two-day event consisted of two topical themes.
The first day’s leading idea was “How can we help employers?” and was focused on the topic of cooperation of regional organizations with employers in the Slovak-Hungarian border region.
The organizations P&Bert Management Consulting Group Kft., the Regional Information and Counselling Centre in Komárno, the Regional Development Agency Ister-Granum, as well as the event organizer, EURES-T Danubius, reviewed their activities during the presentation session. The discussion session gave employers an opportunity to get more information and to suggest additional areas or forms of cooperation with organizations represented in the seminar.
The second day was conducted under the slogan “How can we help each other?” and gave space to presentations by partnerships from different European countries in order to identify similarities or differences between the represented regions and activities regarding cross-border migration and to share their good practices and deepen cooperation within the entire EURES network.
Danubius, having the objective of the two-day event in mind, invited two veteran partnership organizations, Scheldemond (from Belgium and the Netherlands) and Bayern – Tschechien (from Germany and the Czech Republic), the newly established partnership Beskydy from three new EU member states (Slovakia. the Czech Republic and Poland), as well as a partnership just coming into existence between a new and an old EU member state – Pannónia (from Hungary and Austria).
